Knowing Harvey

I've found out throughout my life that sometimes you really don't know the people that you are close to.
One case as an example was a childhood friend that turned boyfriend, Harvey.
As I look back now, I can see things that led him to his true path in life and his self discovery, but I nor he realized it back then.

You see, I am not a 'typical' girl. I do not go goo-goo over all the girly things in life. My favorite color is not pink or purple, but green.. and growing up I found boys more easy to make friends of than girls.
Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy being a woman but I am not afraid to get dirty, but neither am I the high maintenance type. I classify myself as being somewhere in the middle.

Barbie or G.I Joe ... A girl shouldn't have to choose!

Harvey and I met when I moved across the street from him during our 7th grade year.
We quickly became friends and spent most of our time together. We spent hours upon hours jumping on their trampoline, walking around the neighborhood, riding bikes, and even entering into bmx competitions, along with his two brothers.
We were the best of friends and were inseparable! Just like Forest and Jenny.. we were like peas and carrots.
My mom and myself lived there for about a year and to be closer to her work, we had to move.

A few years later, we moved back to that same house and Harvey and I picked up where we left off.. best friends... peas and carrots.

Twisting crazy acts of the Kama Sutra

If you are anything like me, you see the different types of positions found in the Kama Sutra and scratch your head trying to figure out how in the hell people actually found themselves in these positions.
While looking through the positions, most don't look very comfortable and are quite hard to actually get into.
A few years ago, hubby and myself bought a board game that entails some of the Kama Sutra and directs you to actually perform a position from a drawing on the playing cards. Some of which, are quite easy to perform, but others.. I think you might need some sort of degree in yoga to actually perform.
Here is a list of different positions that I found on a site that is quite informative. If you find yourself intrigued, please do visit their site to try and figure out how to accomplish these! Kama Sutra Sexual Positions
There were WAY too many for me to try to explain into detail.

LGBT Pride Month - Houston

LGBT PRIDE MONTH

As you may know (or for those of you who do not), June has been declared LGBT Pride month by President Obama.
Regardless of my feelings regarding Obama, this is one thing he has done that will continue to have a positive affect on society breaking down the prejudices and hate towards lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.

Houston has a big LGBT population and community, and awareness is always around. The Houston LGBT community hosts numerous events during June to support awareness and pride including; Houston Pride Festival and Parade held June 26th, Pride Idol, Dine with Pride held June 23rd, and Rock the Runway held June 25th.
Information about these events, as well as others can be found at:  http://www.pridehouston.org/
